11 February 2021

We all know that fashions for a particular plant can come and go, and of course, there’s all way the handful of trusty plants that seem to hover in the sphere of popularity regardless of the time, date and season. But what about 2021? What’s moving and proving to be the plant that everyone wants? Lets take a look at our top 3.

  1. Philodendron Xanadu; I think its safe to say, this plant has been the most popular year on year for the better part of a decade. Its hardy nature and lush green foliage make it the perfect low-maintenance plant, giving a tropical feel and adding a certain richness to the garden. As a result, we strive to ensure that we always have plentiful supply in 140mm, 200mm and 300mm pots.
  2. Carissa Desert Star; Relatively new to the scene, this plant is hugely popular for many reasons, whether its mass plantings or as a feature plant, the Carissa has it all, becoming more and more popular amongst councils and landscapers for street and park plantings. We stock this plant in 90mm and 200mm pots so that our customers have a size for all their needs!
  3. Agapanthus; Much like the Xanadu, the popularity of this plant never ceases to deliver. Originating from South Africa, it is such a resilient plant that requires little maintenance and provides much color with its varying flowers. We stock this plant in 90mm and 200mm pots, with blue and white flowers. More recently, we have started a new line of providing a dwarf variety to meet all our customers requests. Agapanthus is largely popular in residential gardens and commonly found alongside council roads and pathways.

We hope the above can provide you with some inspiration with creating your own gardens. Of course, there are countless plants that we could add to this list from our range, each popular and beautiful in their own right. However, we have done our best to narrow it down to the top 3 and look forward to hearing from you and helping you make the right choices through your landscaping journey.
